SNA International seeks a bright, collaborative Quality Assurance Project Manager with a strong work ethic to join our team.

The Quality Assurance Project Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that ensure operational excellence, compliance with federal standards, and continuous improvement across all of the National Institute of Justice's (NIJ) National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) management contract areas, including forensic services, case management, data quality, and outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, improve, and maintain an integrated Quality Assurance Program for the NamUs contract. The Quality Assurance Program should align with all applicable quality standards and relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) privacy and security regulations.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, quality control reviews, and corrective action processes to ensure adherence to program, legal, and contractual requirements.
  • Establish quality policies, procedures, and performance metrics to evaluate compliance across case management, forensic services, communications, and data management functions.
  • Identify, capture, and track quality incidents, risks, and non-conformances; lead root-cause analysis and preventive action plans.
  • Collaborate with NamUs stakeholders and contract managers to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
  • Support the increase in the quality and quantity of information contained in NamUs case files.
  • Develop and deliver quality assurance training to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, ensuring the quality and integrity of the NamUs data and identifications.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual quality performance reports.
  • Participate in program meetings and contribute to transition planning to ensure operational continuity and data integrity across contract phases.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Information Science, or related field).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a quality program within an accredited organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of forensic science quality systems, auditing practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience conducting internal and/or external quality audits, preparing quality documentation, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and technical writing skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government clients.
