Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:

The HR Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including hiring, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and policy enforcement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Garrett Leight's people strategy aligns with overall business objectives while fostering a professional, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership:

Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff. Oversee daily departmental workflows, provide timely and constructive performance evaluations, and manage employee discipline and terminations per company policy.
- Strategic Partnership:

Collaborate with leadership to understand and execute HR and talent strategies related to workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession.
- Employee Relations & Compliance:

Address complex, sensitive HR matters including accommodations, misconduct investigations, workers' compensation, and separation processes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Talent Acquisition:

Manage full-cycle recruitment for key roles; partner with hiring managers to identify skills and competencies for open positions.
- Compensation & Benefits:

Analyze compensation trends and propose competitive salary structures and incentive programs. Streamline employee enrollment, ensure compliance with regulations, and serve as a vital liaison between employees and the PEO to optimize benefit utilization and communication.
- Learning & Development:

Design and implement internal development programs and learning initiatives to promote employee growth.
- Policy & Regulatory Oversight:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and legal requirements; review and update company policies to ensure legal compliance.
- Cross-Functional Support:

Serve as a resource and advisor to management and employees on HR systems, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5-7 years of human resources experience preferred, including a minimum of 3 years in human resources management.
• Any HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or HR Management Certification from an accredited university/program) is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with HRIS and talent management systems, such as ADP
