Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure readiness for cooking and plating
  • Assist with menu planning by organizing ingredients needed for daily specials and standard dishes
  • Support cooking activities by following recipes accurately and maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation
  • Handle food safely by adhering to proper sanitation practices, storage procedures, and hygiene standards
  • Contribute to food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to promote a safe kitchen environment
  • Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food according to specifications
  • Serve food efficiently during meal service times while ensuring quality presentation and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and seamless kitchen operations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrating strong culinary skills
  • Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
  • Proficiency in knife skills and meal preparation techniques essential for efficient kitchen work
  • Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is a plus
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
