Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Management team in coordinating, tracking, and executing rebar fabrication projects from award through delivery. This role ensures that schedules, submittals, and material releases are handled efficiently, helping the Project Manager deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, construction-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the setup and management of multiple rebar fabrication projects.
  • Review project drawings, RFIs, and specifications to ensure accuracy before fabrication.
  • Prepare and distribute bar lists, release forms, and delivery tickets.
  • Coordinate with detailers, schedulers, and the fabrication shop to ensure production meets project timelines.
  • Track submittal approvals, change orders, and revisions; communicate updates promptly to internal teams and customers.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for contractors and field supers.
  • Confirm delivery schedules and assist in resolving field issues quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain project documentation, change orders, and mill certs.
  • Support QC checks and field verification as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction or rebar fabrication industry (preferred).
  • Understanding of rebar detailing, scheduling, and delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, ASA, PM Software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bar lists.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
