About the Role:

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you play a critical role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, promoting MND, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. Additionally, the Front Desk Receptionist supports record keeping for new client registration and ongoing attendance. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone passionate about community impact, equity, and changing lives through employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Front Desk Receptionist will:

  • Welcome all members of the public, ensuring a positive and professional atmosphere.
  • Guide visitors to the correct room and floor.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, assist callers, and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Monitor online registrations and send reminder invitations and text messages through MND's platform.
  • Assist with orientation and training tasks, such as making copies, managing sign-in sheets, preparing completion certificates, and offering other administrative support as required.
  • Record daily attendance and keep staff updated on attendee numbers.
  • Distribute bus tokens and flash drives to clients as instructed, while ensuring MND maintains sufficient inventory for training purposes.
  • Mentor front desk interns and volunteers by demonstrating best practices and offering training.
  • Keep the front desk and entrance area clean and well-maintained.
  • Collect and distribute mail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Create a warm and engaging environment for all clients and visitors representing MND.
  • Provide a high standard of professional customer service.
  • Assist MND's clients, staff, volunteers, board, and mission effectively.
  • Guarantee the timely and accurate completion of all responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in an office environment or the human services sector
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to empathetically connect with clients, offering support and guidance
  • Uphold a high standard of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional behaviors as a role model
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and online databases
