The Office Assistant 3 position in the Inspections/Plan Review Division of the WV State Fire Marshal's Office will work at an advanced clerical level. In addition to normal clerical duties, the position may include the interpretation and application of policies, practices, procedures, rules, and regulations as allowed by the Secretary 2 and Divisional Director for the Inspections and Plan Review Division. They may act as a lead worker to the Office Assistant 2 positions within the division. The chosen applicant will serve as the Divisional FOIA ensuring compliance with required procedures and timelines. Will act as back-up to the Secretary 2 position and the Office Assistant 2 positions within the division, completing related work as necessary. Ability to act in a professional manner with the public and businesses as well as co-workers is a must, as is the dependability to work the normal schedule and complete assigned duties in a timely manner. Knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Office products and/or Google Office applications is necessary.
The Inspections/Plan Review Division of the State Fire Marshal's Office consists of a team of 30 people dedicated to the Safety of the Citizens of WV and welcomes qualified applicants to become part of that small but valuable team.

Minimum QualificationsTraining: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
