Title: Assistant Field Manager

Location: Field - Raleigh, North Carolina Area

Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Field Manager to support the daily operations of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist the Field Manager in coordinating activities, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Reports to: Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist the Field Manager in overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and crew members to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.Monitor daily operations on-site, including labor allocation, equipment usage, and safety compliance.Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.Communicate effectively with the Field Manager regarding project progress, issues, and any necessary adjustments to schedules or resources.Assist in maintaining project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and change orders.Support the Field Manager in conducting safety meetings and training sessions for crew members to promote a culture of safety on-site.Help manage site logistics, including traffic flow, site access, and coordination of deliveries.Foster positive relationships with team members, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.Participate in project meetings, providing updates on site conditions and progress to ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain.Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and time management skillsTechnologically proficientHigh level of accuracy in data entry and reportingClear, professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Must possess a valid state driver's license.Experience driving pickup trucks, utility trailers, or larger service vehicles safely.Ability to navigate to multiple construction sites daily, including in rural or high-traffic areas.Required to travel between job sites and company facilities, occasionally on short notice, with travel distances varying according to business needs.Must pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and periodic rechecks. Comfortable operating vehicles in variable site conditions (unpaved roads, construction zones, etc.).Must follow all company vehicle use policies and applicable traffic laws.
