Orthodontic Manager

Job Overview
As an Orthodontic Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our orthodontic team to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring efficient clinic operations. You will oversee the daily functions of the orthodontic department, manage staff, and maintain compliance with all regulations. Your leadership will inspire a culture of excellence and compassion, making a significant impact on our patients' smiles and overall experience.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor the orthodontic team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure efficient use of resources within the clinic.
- Oversee compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation and records.
- Coordinate with dental staff to provide seamless patient care, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
- Ensure proper use of EMR systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient management and record-keeping.
- Conduct training on infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental terminology for all staff members.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental clinic setting, specifically in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical records management.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with 3D scanners and X-ray technology to enhance patient treatment plans.
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
