Dual Fuel is an integrated energy services company that provides heating controls, boiler monitoring and emergency service to residential and commercial buildings in the New York City metropolitan area.

We are currently recruiting a Controls Technician to join our team. During your career at Dual Fuel you will have the chance to engage in a fulfilling career and work with some of the best and brightest in the NYC mechanical industry. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that deliver comfort and energy savings to NYC real estate owners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation of control panels, sensors, and network devices based on wiring diagrams

  • Complete commissioning checklist to ensure all inputs and outputs are wired correctly

  • Analyze and correct communication issues, including proper addressing of IP level and Modbus / Bacnet (RS-485) devices

  • Compose "as built" wiring diagrams when system installation deviates from original design

  • Train site superintendents on system operation and setpoint configurations

  • Troubleshoot and repair existing control installations

  • Interface with project managers, controls engineers and customers throughout installation and startup

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a DDC controls related firm

  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way

  • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork, creativity

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of building automation industry standards such as BACnet and Modbus

  • Technical experience with control systems in Boiler/Chiller/HVAC industry

  • Knowledge of IP level networking

  • Experience with EasyIO or Niagara controllers and programming
