Job Purpose

This role supports the Financial Planning team by overseeing fixed asset accounting, corporate tax compliance, and capital spending analysis. The Analyst ensures accurate financial reporting, supports budgeting and forecasting activities, and contributes to informed financial decision-making aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Fixed Assets & Capital Planning

  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of capital budgets and long-term capital plans
  • Monitor and report on capital spending projects, evaluating financial impact, return on investment (ROI), and budget adherence
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for improved asset utilization and capital efficiency

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and analyzing account variances related to Maintenance & Repair (M&R) spend
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on a monthly basis to ensure all M&R-related transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and aligned with budget expectations
  • Develop and maintain monthly financial KPIs to identify M&R trends and support strategic decision-making
  • Respond to inquiries from senior finance leadership regarding financial results, trends, and reporting

Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and related schedules
  • File federal, state, and other required government reports in compliance with applicable regulations

Systems, Audit & Process Improvement

  • Assist with LN system maintenance testing and financial system enhancements
  • Support year-end audit preparation, including documentation and auditor inquiries
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and the implementation of new procedures within the department

Experience and Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
  • CPA or MBA preferred but not required
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in fixed asset accounting, corporate tax compliance, capital planning, or a related financial role
