Jushi is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Asset Protection to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide programs that protect our people, products, and property. This role will drive initiatives in loss prevention, physical security, and risk mitigation across retail, cultivation, and manufacturing operations.

The Director will serve as a key business partner to Operations, Finance, Compliance, and IT, ensuring alignment with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and brand standards. This leader will focus on reducing shrink, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening Jushi's culture of safety through proactive programs, technology integration, and data-driven insights.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute Jushi's national Asset Protection strategy to safeguard company assets, reduce losses, and mitigate risk.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional and field security personnel to ensure consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with executive and cross-functional leaders to align asset protection strategies with broader business goals and compliance standards.
  • Loss Prevention & Investigations
  • Oversee internal and external investigations, including theft, diversion, and fraud, ensuring thorough documentation, timely resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Design and implement standardized loss prevention audits and reporting mechanisms to identify trends and drive accountability.
  • Collaborate with HR and Compliance on policy enforcement and associate integrity programs.
  • Establish and maintain physical security protocols, alarm response standards, and vendor partnerships for system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement a companywide investigations program and train field teams to execute investigations to established standards.
  • Cash Management
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and compliance of cash handling policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Partner with Finance and Retail Operations to monitor variances, ensure secure cash practices, and minimize financial exposure.
  • Data, Audit & Compliance
  • Define and track KPIs for shrink reduction, incident reporting, and audit security specific compliance across all business units.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations related to cannabis security and reporting requirements.
  • Health, Safety & Crisis Management
  • Partner with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team to promote a culture of safety and incident prevention.
  • Support emergency response planning, workplace violence prevention, and crisis communication protocols.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree required (Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Security Operations—experience in retail, cannabis, or other highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise-level strategies across multi-state operations.
  • Proficiency in investigations, data analysis, and root-cause problem solving.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to support field operations.
