Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

As an
Accounts Receivable Specialist
, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable operations. This includes processing incoming payments, reconciling customer accounts, and supporting collection efforts. You'll also contribute to general ledger activities and help optimize AR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable & Payment Reconciliation:
  • Process and post cash receipts
  • Record bank deposits
  • Reconcile payments and maintain aging reports
  • Handle credits, collections, and account adjustments
  • Collections Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Follow up with customers on overdue accounts
  • Maintain detailed collection logs
  • Provide regular reports on accounts over 60 days past due
  • AR Administration & Process Optimization:
  • Manage monthly statements and invoicing
  • Respond to customer inquiries
  • Set up new customer accounts including tax documentation
  • General Accounting Support:
  • Execute general ledger transactions
  • Participate in team meetings and training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • High level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting-related role
  • Experience with CDK and NetSuite
  • Familiarity with process improvement initiatives
