The Missouri Retail Marketing Manager (Southeast Region) plays a hands-on role in building and maintaining Curio's retail presence within a key regional market. This position is responsible for ensuring brand consistency, high-quality merchandising, and impactful consumer experiences across select retail locations in Southeast Missouri.

This role blends organization, creativity, and attention to detail to keep the team operating at its highest level while delivering memorable brand experiences. It combines in-store marketing, field execution, and team training, overseeing everything from signage and collateral to pop-ups and budtender education. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, enjoys creating engaging retail environments, and helps bring Curio's brand standards to life in both established and developing locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail Marketing and Merchandising

• Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and product presentation across key Southeast Missouri retail locations to ensure alignment with Curio Wellness brand standards.
• Conduct routine store visits to audit displays, menus, and overall in-store branding.
• Partner with store leadership and operations teams to elevate the customer experience and maintain consistent visual standards.
• Coordinate the installation and rotation of marketing materials to support seasonal campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
• Document and share visual reports, feedback, and recommendations following each store visit.

Field Marketing and Activations

• Plan, coordinate, and personally execute pop-ups, vendor days, and in-store activations that drive awareness, education, and sales.
• Manage setup, teardown, signage, and collateral distribution for each activation.
• Partner with marketing and sales teams to ensure campaign alignment and promotional accuracy.
• Capture and analyze event data, including attendance, engagement, and sell-through metrics.

Budtender Training and Brand Education

• Serve as the regional Curio Wellness product expert and lead in-store training sessions for budtenders and staff.
• Deliver engaging and informative sessions that build product knowledge, sales confidence, and brand enthusiasm.
• Maintain strong relationships with retail teams to ensure continuous education and communication on new products and campaigns.
• Gather insights from store staff and customers to share with marketing and sales leadership.

Regional Coordination and Brand Development

• Collaborate with the Director of Brand and Field Marketing and the Missouri Field Marketing Manager to execute localized marketing plans tailored to Southeast Missouri.
• Support integration and setup of new or transitioning retail locations to meet Curio Wellness visual and brand standards.
• Maintain local inventory of signage, collateral, display materials, and swag for timely deployment.
• Act as the field liaison for marketing, sales, and operations within the Southeast Missouri region.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of experience in field marketing, retail marketing, or merchandising (cannabis, CPG, or lifestyle brand experience preferred).
• Proven ability to execute pop-ups, activations, and retail displays independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on relationship building.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva Google Workspace, and field tools such as Repsly or
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Southeast Missouri (approximately 50–70% travel).
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds of event or display materials.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a secure, regulated environment.
