Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of an early childhood center by ensuring efficient communication, organization, and coordination of administrative tasks. This position manages records, schedules, and documentation while assisting families, staff, and leadership with inquiries and needs. You'll maintain a welcoming environment, uphold confidentiality, and help facilitate compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. With strong attention to detail and professionalism, this role supports the overall success of the program and contributes to a positive experience for children, families, and staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIESAnswer the phone and front door promptly and courteouslyGreet visitors, ascertain the nature of the visits, and have them sign inPerform general office duties such as typing, coping, and filing as requiredEnter attendance in ChildPlus for all Early Head Start/Head Start classroomsMaintain child files and emergency contact bookFinance duties, including checking the Playground system daily, making corrections in Playground attendance, acquiring parent signatures, maintaining a CCCAP swipe log, and forwarding appropriate forms to the Finance teamCompare daily attendance with meal counts and make corrections in PlaygroundProvide support for family partnership programs such as family nights, parent center meetings, parent communications, special events, and completion and typing of monthly newslettersComply with monthly reportsCheck in meals and distribute to classroomsMaintain a clean and orderly office environment and general areas of the facilityMaintain and update lobby bulletin boardsComply with applicable universal precautions and infection control guidelines and proceduresQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diplomaTwo years' experience working in a business officeBasic knowledge of secretarial and financial duties including phone etiquette, typing skills (> 50 WPM preferred), use of adding machines/calculators, and use of standard office equipmentComfortable utilizing computers and technology and willing to learn new computer skills and software programs as necessarySkilled in the use of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ExcelPossess the ability to self-motivate and work independently with sound judgement, creativity, reliability, and dependabilityPrior to employment, candidate must pass federal and state criminal and Colorado Department of Early Childhood background checks, pre-employment drug screen, physical and verification of employment, education and/or credentials and, by position, valid driver's license.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing job duties, employee will be required to regularly sit, stand, walk, type, climb up to three flights of stairs, and may occasionally need to carry 10-25 lbs.CURRENT BENEFITSPaid Time Off13 paid holidays scheduled in 2026Generous paid vacation8 paid sick days1 paid anniversary dayPaid Family Medical Leave for qualifying individuals – this benefit does not provide 100% wage replacementMedical, Dental, VisionMedical insurance – ECLC pays up to 75% of employee premiumDental and Vision insuranceFree Employee Assistance ProgramChildcare BenefitSubstantial discount for childcare: employees pay $25/week for children 3+ who are enrolled at Early Connections Learning Centers *This benefit depends on having an enrollment opening*Tuition Reimbursement, Continuing Education and TrainingTuition reimbursement of $150 per 3-credit hour course is available to staff enrolled in approved coursework in Early Childhood Education or related to their position and who maintain the required grade point averageReimbursement may be available for pre-approved job-related certificate programsOther Insurance100% employer-paid Basic Term Life and AD&D InsuranceVoluntary Short Term Disability InsuranceTRAVEL AND REMOTE WORKAll positions at Early Connections Learning Centers are on site.
