Job Summary

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant works with the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the housekeeping department in a hotel or hospitality setting, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service while managing a team of housekeeping staff. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience through effective management of cleaning operations and adherence to safety protocols. This role will include housekeeping and/or laundry attendant on the days the Executive Housekeeper is present.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Maintain records related to housekeeping activities, inventory logs, and inspection reports.
  • Primary duty as a housekeeper/laundry attendant and trainer while performing the Executive duties as scheduled.

Skills

  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, floor care, and custodial practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in training and developing staff.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
