Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor

Location: SMP Health St. Raphael Valley City ND

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations in our nursing home facility. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule environmental services staff
  • Manage inventory and purchasing of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in disaster preparedness and emergency drills
  • Conduct staff training and performance evaluations
  • Promote resident dignity, safety, and rights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in housekeeping/laundry in healthcare or similar setting
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemical systems

Desired Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Patience, tact, and professionalism in resident and staff interactions
  • Basic computer skills and organizational efficiency

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies
