Description:

Independently perform routine preventative maintenance and
service on small tonnage HVAC equipment (up to 10 tons).  Responsible self-starters who take the
initiative to learn new skills by taking advantage of on-line and classroom
training, using advanced diagnostic tools and working with senior techs.  In addition to having a strong mechanical aptitude
you must be able to communicate clearly, have a positive and can-do attitude,
are a good team player and smile.


Essential
Duties:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and
    diagnose and repair on equipment up to 10 tons in capacity.   
  • Assist Senior Techs on more complex equipment
    including boilers, cooling towers, chillers, etc.
  • Accurately document and communicate work
    performed.

 Experience
Required:

  • Demonstrate fundamental understanding of
    refrigeration cycle, refrigerant charging, refrigerant recovery, superheat,
    sub-cooling, electrical theory, and basic HVAC controls.
  • Works on common HVAC applications such as gas
    heating, hydronic heating, rooftop package HVAC equipment, split system HVAC
    equipment, ductless split and VRF equipment, WSHP equipment, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electrical and
    mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrates a desire to grow professionally
    in the HVAC/R trade.  Willingness and
    appetite to learn.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Clean driving record.
