Greatway Transportation Inc is looking to hire energetic individuals to join our dispatch team at our Laredo Terminal We are looking for someone who is patient, has good communication skills (phone, in person and by email), has multi-tasking and problem solving skills. Computer skills are required as well; to email, enter/track loads, update our load boards, book loads when needed and keep all our customers and other terminals up to speed on what is going on daily.

You must be flexible to work a weekend day.

Duties:

  • Coordinate with our customer service reps to get work orders (in the US and MX)
  • Set load appointments with customers
  • Respond to emails
  • Enter loads onto our TMS system- PCS
  • Must have knowledge with these 2 load boards: Ryder LMS and Penske- This is Mandatory to know how to run GM freight via Ryder and Penske.
  • Dispatch loads with drivers and follow up to make sure drivers are running on time.
  • Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
  • Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur
  • Answer calls from delivery drivers and relay any emergencies they have to the appropriate channels

Experience Requirements Qualifications include:

  • Strong computer skills, data entry is part of the job.
  • Knowledge with automotive freight and boarder crossing.
  • MUST HAVE knowledge with the following load boards: Ryder LMS and Penske
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with both drivers and customers in a busy working environment..
  • We are looking for a dependable, punctual individual who is committed to showing up for work and someone who will contribute to our team atmosphere and wants to be with a growing company.
  • Must have excellent "people skills", including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of customers, and co-workers. Competitive Pay, paid holidays and time off. Schedule: Must be flexible to work 4 days a week with 3 days off at 12 hour shifts 8 am to 8 pm. Experience: At least one year as a freight dispatcher. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $250,000.00 per year
