Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional support and assistance in various aspects of transportation and logistics. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems.

Duties

  • Respond to customer inquiries via multi-line phone systems, ensuring effective communication and phone etiquette.
  • Assist customers with shipping and receiving processes, including freight management and logistics coordination.
  • Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to provide accurate information regarding transportation planning and fleet management.
  • Input data accurately into Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400 systems for efficient record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with dispatching teams to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining high service standards.
  • Analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation management systems and industry best practices.
  • Provide support for 3PL operations as needed, ensuring seamless integration with customer requirements.

Skills

  • Proficient in GIS, GPS, and transportation management systems.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to assess logistics challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Experience with data entry tasks and familiarity with multi-line phone systems.
  • Knowledge of dispatching procedures and freight operations is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of supply chain dynamics and transportation planning principles.
