The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key accounts, and supporting Johnson Brothers' initiatives. This position requires expertise in wine, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Target each day in the MN market to grow the Jackson Portfolio on your own and with Johnson Brothers personnel to achieve sales goals, including new placements, revenue, case shipment, and depletions.
- Provide educational wine training to Johnson Brothers and key accounts through tastings, special events, and sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers across the state and the Johnson Brothers sales divisions.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly target reports on supporting activities to the Director of Trade Development with timely recaps of market success.
- Construct unique and engaging wine presentations and sales tools that highlight JFW programs and initiatives.
- Conduct persuasive sales calls utilizing wine knowledge, return on investment (ROI), margins, and pour costs.
- Grow and foster professional relationships with key accounts in assigned territory.
- Create, prioritize, and manage a pre-planned territory run of key accounts.
- Communicate pertinent information among Johnson Brothers Sales Divisions, SPMs, JFW management, and Key Accounts.
- Work within the approved expense budget.
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of wine and the wine industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple accounts and tasks.
- Experience with educational presentations and sales meetings is a plus.
- Experience in on or off premise, supplier, or wholesaler roles
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned market
The expected pay range for this role is $54,008 - $89,930. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
