Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency and strategic planning.

Duties

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize data effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
  • Utilize SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant information from Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other database systems.
  • Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by providing input on data-related projects.
  • Create documentation using Visio for data workflows, database designs, and project management purposes.
  • Leverage programming languages such as Python, R, VBA, or Bash (Unix shell) to automate tasks and enhance analytical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data analysis skills with a strong understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like Talend for data integration.
  • Understanding of database design principles and experience with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Experience in linked data concepts is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $70.00 per hour
