The Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation (ITECF) is seeking an experienced, detailed-oriented, and relationship driven Events Manager to join our team. The Events Manager reports directly to the EVP of Development and works closely with both the EVP of Development and the Event Coordinator to ensure cohesive event execution. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance logistics with donor engagement, delivering polished, mission-driven experiences that inspire supporters and strengthen ITECF's impact.
The Events Manager will lead the planning, management, and execution of a wide range of ITECF events annually— including 25+ annual Exhibition events across three cycles (March Florida Cycle, June Cycle, August Cycle), as well as various donor cultivation events throughout the year. Working in partnership with the EVP of Development, the Events Manager ensures events are strategically aligned with fundraising goals, donor stewardship efforts, and broader organizational priorities.
About ITEC
Founded 50 years ago, the Israel Tennis & Education Centers (ITEC) is one of Israel's largest and most impactful social service organizations, operating 25 centers across the country—many in underserved communities. Through tennis, education, mentorship, and social-emotional development, ITEC provides children with safe spaces, trusted role models, and opportunities to thrive. Our events across North America connect supporters to our mission and help ensure that thousands of children each year continue to benefit from ITEC's life-changing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of ITECF's annual calendar of events— including but not limited to overseeing logistics, run of show, budgeting, staffing and volunteer management, contingency planning, vendor coordination, and post event follow up.
- Oversee event-day logistics for all assigned events, ensuring seamless execution and a polished guest experience.
- Create and maintain event critical paths, timelines, and planning tools
- Identify new opportunities to increase fundraising potential, event participation, and donor engagement.
- Prepare for, schedule, and lead all committee and planning meetings for events, including agenda development, gathering appropriate materials, notes taking, and follow up.
- Work closely with event co-chairs, host committees, and community partners to develop event strategies, strengthen engagement, and support fundraising goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, lay leaders, and community stakeholders to support long-term engagement and event success.
- Coordinate event-related communications (guest outreach, committee updates, registration reminders, internal team briefings) by setting the overall communication strategy, while the Event Coordinator manages execution and delivery.
- Work with ITECF's internal graphic designer to create event materials such as save-the-dates, invitations, promotional assets, signage, digital collateral, etc.
- Assist with storytelling components such as speaker preparation, program content, and run-of-show scripts when needed.
- Develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets, including revenue forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Prepare post-event reports, debriefs, and analytics to drive continuous improvement across events.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree or a combination of related education and experience.
- Over 5 years experience in event planning, event management, or a relevant role.
- Working in a previous non-profit organization is an asset
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex events with numerous stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong initiative, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with polished verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, problem-solve, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to pivot in a changing environment.
- Flexible, with willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends during event seasons.
- Comfortable traveling throughout the U.S. for Exhibition Cycles and key events.
Ideal Candidate
A dynamic, energetic, polished events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by creating meaningful, mission-driven experiences that inspire supporters and build long-term engagement.
