Senior Account Executive

The Senior Accounting Executive is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with financial analysis for strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the preparation of management reports and presentations.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment runs, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts receivable, ensure timely collections, and maintain customer ledgers.
- Reconcile intercompany and related-party transactions.
3. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Prepare documentation and coordinate with external/internal auditors during audits.
- Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, GST/VAT, and other statutory requirements.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities.
- Track actual vs. budget performance and prepare variance analysis reports.
5. Process Improvement
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support automation and digitalization initiatives within the accounting function.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred).
- Experience: 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience in a senior or supervisory role preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and a high degree of professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $55,000.00 per year
