In this role, you\u2019ll oversee SCE\u2019s Advanced Metering Infrastructure 2.0 financial portfolio and manage a multi\u2011billion\u2011dollar budget for the AMI 2.0 program, overseeing forecasting, accounting, and financial reconciliation while providing strategic insights that guide executive decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements the financial analysis strategy, providing consistent financial insight and analysis to be used to support effective enterprise strategy development, decision making and performance management
  • Drives all financial reporting cycles with relevant and accurate information, including monthly results, statutory reports, short and long term forecasts/budgets and the overall finance strategy
  • Ensures all Financial Analysis activities are carried out in compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and governance standards
  • Conducts executive level financial analysis presentations and communicates recommendations to senior leadership as required
  • Shapes the financial evaluation and development of business cases for capital projects or capital program reviews that have a major financial or operational impact to the organization. Monitors capital investment for all authorization levels and ensure all revisions are submitted timely for approval
  • Guides the resolution of complex financial issues, developing least cost or cost benefit analysis or identifying innovative solutions for various scenario analyses
  • Optimizes the provision of financial advisory support to the enterprise including analysis of potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
  • Coordinates the analyst training program, ensuring a robust curriculum which delivers optimal learning outcomes
  • Champions the implementation of risk management and internal controls processes, including assessment and monitoring current internal controls to ensure they are adequately designed and operating effectively in compliance with accounting, organizational, and regulatory policies
  • Accelerates innovation within Financial Analysis, identifying ways to improve working processes through the application of automation or other technology solutions
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of experience in financial planning, modeling and/or forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master\u2019s or MBA preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or PMP are highly valued.
  • Three or more years of progressive financial analysis and advisory experience, ideally in large-scale capital programs or utility/energy sector.
  • Experience with regulatory filings, testimony coordination, and operational planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of capital budgeting, incrementality treatment, and benefit-cost analysis.
  • Experience presenting to executives and with transparent reporting; ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across teams.

  • This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and\u00a0reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.\u00a0The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
