About the Opportunity

Firmo Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with proven experience in New Construction to help lead branded, ground-up branded hospitality projects through completion.

Candidate should have experience with projects of similar size and complexity. You will oversee all PM deliverables while partnering closely with Superintendents and engaging directly with subcontractors, architects, and clients.

Full time - Onsite with periodic travel in the Southeast. Not a remote position.

  • Have proven success leading commercial construction projects from active build phases through closeout.
  • Be experienced with similar builds - new hospitality or multifamily projects (preferred).
  • Must be proficient with Procore or similar construction technology.
  • Demonstrate strong ability in project scheduling, cost control, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead subcontractors with confidence, respect, and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Be skilled in reading & interpreting construction documents and resolving field issues.
  • Uphold and model Firmo's values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversee project through closeout.
  • Manage project schedule, including critical path oversight, and coordination of finish trades and inspections.
  • Ensure quality and hotel brand compliance, monitoring interior finishes, resolving deficiencies, and managing punch lists to completion with Superintendent.
  • Lead project turnover activities, including FF&E coordination, owner training, O&M documentation, brand/quality inspections, and final sign-offs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress tracking.
  • Drive effective coordination with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and owners to support timely decisions and keep the project moving.
  • Maintain control of project financials, including budget tracking, cost reviews, buyouts, and verification of subcontractor invoices.
  • Lead and support Superintendents, setting clear expectations, removing roadblocks, and ensuring strong alignment between field and office operations.
  • Reinforce Firmo's safety culture, supporting Superintendents in maintaining compliance with Firmo and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects of similar scale; ground-up hospitality (or multifamily) experience strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR certifications (may be completed after hire).
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project and other CM software.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and professional communication skills.
  • Comfortable and confident working in an active jobsite environment and with Clients.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on schedule and within budget, particularly through finish phases and closeout.

     Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to navigate active, multi-story construction sites, including stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, and partially completed spaces.
  • Travel regionally for project oversight.
