Warehouse Truck Driver

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for driving a company truck used for transporting goods from plant to stores and picking up special donations at residences and commercial businesses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive a company truck to transport goods from Alameda plant to Retail stores and pick up special donations at residences and commercial businesses.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain general knowledge of city streets and local area.
- Safely drive a box truck, or larger to transport goods from warehouse to retail stores.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Must work well with retail store management and employees.
- Regularly read and route a map for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Knowledge and daily use of bill of lading procedures.
- Inspect trucks, and fill truck inspection forms daily.
- Responsible for loading and unloading large and small truckloads.
- Must work safely, observing all safety procedures and use necessary equipment in a safe manner.
- Must report all safety related incidents/accidents to the Manager or the Safety Representative in a timely manner.
- Assist in other areas as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two years experience driving a truck of three tons or less capacity.
- Previous position that has demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of a large truck.
- Must have valid Texas Driver's License; and must be insurable.
- Must pass Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- CDL preferred but not required
