Our innovative solutions empower businesses to optimize their supply chains, enhance customer experiences, and drive sustainable growth. We are committed to delivering cutting-edge technology and unparalleled expertise to help our clients navigate the complexities of the modern marketplace.

Overview:
Blue Yonder Defense Solutions is seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, optimize organizational efficiency, and ensure alignment across programs supporting our government clients. The Chief of Staff is a trusted advisor and integrator who ensures that the CEO's vision and strategic priorities are effectively executed across the organization. This role is ideal for a highly organized, strategic thinker with strong business acumen and experience in government contracting or the technology sector. The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier — facilitating decision-making, managing key initiatives, and overseeing cross-functional communication between executive leadership, program teams, and clients.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO, helping translate vision into operational plans.

  • Lead and track execution of strategic priorities, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes.

  • Prepare executive briefings, board materials, and strategic reports to support business growth and operational excellence.

  • Partner with the CEO to oversee annual planning, performance metrics, and key business reviews.

Operational Efficiency

  • Drive alignment and communication between departments — including engineering, products, operations, and business development.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase organizational agility and efficiency.

  • Support company readiness for government audits, compliance reviews, and program delivery milestones.

Leadership Support & Communication

  • Manage executive communications, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Represent the CEO in high-level meetings, as needed, to ensure continuity and follow-up on action items.

  • Lead and mentor a small team supporting business operations, project management, and internal communications.

Government & Client Engagement

  • Support executive engagement with key government clients and partners, maintaining a deep understanding of client missions and contract deliverables.

  • Ensure strategic initiatives align with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements relevant to government contracting.

What we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Policy, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, strategy, or executive leadership — ideally within the technology, defense, or government contracting sector.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

  • Strong understanding of the federal contracting landscape (e.g., FAR, DFARS, or similar frameworks).

  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

The base salary for this role is $193,198.00 to $250,802.00.
