This is a remote position within the Unites States.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sales Manager is a hybrid leadership and technical sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a team of sales representatives, and providing design and layout expertise for material handling and warehouse storage systems. This position plays a key role in developing customer relationships, overseeing sales strategy, and ensuring project designs align with client needs, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.

  1. Generate new business opportunities by identifying customer needs in warehouse storage, rack, conveyor, mezzanine, modular offices and other storage products

  2. Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and system designs tailored to each client's operational requirements.

  3. Negotiate terms and close sales with a focus on margin optimization and long-term customer satisfaction.

  4. Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and active project pipelines.

  5. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Sales Representatives and Designers.

  6. Set clear performance targets, track KPIs, and hold regular one-on-one and team meetings.

  7. Support career development and product knowledge training for team members.

  8. Collaborate with leadership to align sales goals with company growth objectives.

  9. Develop efficient warehouse layouts using CAD or equivalent design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).

  10. Create conceptual and detailed designs for pallet rack systems, conveyor layouts, mezzanines, modular office, and other storage equipment installations.

  11. Partner with engineering, estimating, and installation teams to ensure project feasibility, accuracy, and profitability.

  12. Assist with project reviews, site visits, and layout optimization for key accounts.

  13. Serve as a technical consultant to customers, providing creative solutions for material handling challenges.

  14. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and vendors to stay current on product innovations and capabilities.

  15. Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and installation coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Excellent Customer Service, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding Sales Leadership and Customer Relationship Building Skills
  • Strong Financial focus, including capital buying process, cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision making and quantitative analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of all systems, procedures, techniques, equipment, operations, standards and reports that apply to Sync Storage Solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, AutoCAD and CRM tools

Previous Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in selling complex warehouse products
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations; shipping and receiving, put-away, order picking, replenishment, facilities management, throughput, cycle counting, transportation and logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of supply and demand chain management fundamentals such as inbound raw material flow and outbound distribution
  • Proven success in designing, quoting, and closing the sales of equipment and other allied products

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Out of town travel: less than 25%
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
