Job Summary

As a Hotel General Manager, you will be the driving force behind our hotel's success, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while leading a dynamic team. Your leadership will inspire excellence in service and operations, from front desk management to guest relations. You will oversee all aspects of hotel management, including budgeting, revenue management, and human resources, creating a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. Will be required to work front desk shifts at front desk on Friday and Saturday nights. Will be working with sales department to assist with Sales Manager duties. Quarterly Bonus offered when paramaters are achieved. Responsible for covering or finding coverage for call out shifts.

What you'll do

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver outstanding customer service and hospitality.
  • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning of front desk services and guest relations.
  • Manage budgeting and revenue management strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Implement effective human resources practices to recruit, train, and retain top talent.
  • Foster positive relationships with guests to enhance their experience and address any concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits of hotel services, including night audits, to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Supervise multi-line phone systems and ensure excellent phone etiquette in all communications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and revenue management principles.

Preferred qualifications

  • 3 years minimum Hotel AGM / Front Desk Manager experience. We will not be contacting any one who does not have this prior experience. Marriott preferred with Prior Opera experience.
  • Experience with resort operations or luxury hotel environments.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and guest services best practices.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes within the hospitality sector.
