As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Associate to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Billing Associate will play a crucial role in managing the utility billing process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service. This individual will handle invoice processing, data entry, account reconciliations, and customer inquiries related to billing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and generate accurate utility bills for residential and commercial properties.
  • Review and validate billing data from submeters and Ratio Utility Billing Systems (RUBS).
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with property managers and residents.
  • Maintain organized records of billing transactions and account adjustments.
  • Assist customers with billing-related inquiries via phone and email, providing clear and professional support.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations governing utility billing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Perform account reconciliations and generate reports for management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in billing, accounting, or finance (utility billing experience is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze billing data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
