Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk (Part-Time, In-Office)

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Schedule: 20–25 hrs/week (4–5 hrs/day, flexible daytime schedule)

Pay: $20-$28/hr

Overview

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk to support our daily financial operations. This is an in-office part-time role focused on invoicing, collections, payment processing, and customer communication. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying organized, communicating with customers, and keeping financial operations running smoothly. You'll support our accounting workflow by managing receivables, billing, follow-up, and internal financial reporting—ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

What You'll Do

  • Process customer invoices and apply incoming payments
  • Match checks and payments to the correct accounts and invoices
  • Make collection calls and send follow-up emails
  • Monitor outstanding balances and resolve billing issues
  • Maintain accurate AR records and assist with reconciliation
  • Prepare aging reports and internal financial summaries
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email
  • Maintain records using Wave bookkeeping software
  • Recommend improvements to AR processes and procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of accounts Receivable, billing, or general accounting experience (preferred)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable communicating with customers about overdue payments
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Wave experience is a plus)
