Position Summary:

The plant Training Coordinator is resposible for delivery of training content, revision of training materials and tracking of training completion, qualification and re-certification of hourly employees. This role ensures that that the various departments that it supports has the right learning delivered in the proper timeline to support the growth and development of employees. Responsibility for coordinating training and learning assessment activities to comply with regulatory organizations (such as OSHA, EPA and FDA). Will utilize eLearning and other electronic tools to deliver training (such as Alchemy, TPC and Foundational Knowledge). This role will be a key role in the development of competency based learning, introduction of new trianing delivery methods as well as working hand in hand with other departments such as EHS, Quality, WCM and Operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate training programs through a variety of written. verbal, hands-on, classroom and electronic/virtual methods. Validate transfer of knowledge through assessment tools to ensure that new learning is being utilized.
  • Assist in conducting employee skill evaluations, track and report on training outcomes, maintain all training documents and records. Maintain skills matrix and talent development tools and trackers to ensure that plant people capability meets the demands of the business.
  • Participate and support change initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, plant structure changes and routine plant events as required. Support FSMA, WCM, EHS, Sanitation and other plant programs.
  • Provide status updates to training manager including training completion, key actions in progress/completed, and
  • Completes training assessments that will be essential in the review and recommendation of new hires.
  • Partner with HR team to support and coordinate off-site training for employees. Support external employee training held at the facility.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment including plant messaging systems.
  • Support HR department initirives and efforts as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Acquire or possess training certifications is a plus.
  • Demonstrated capability of technical processes in area of expertise.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Employee must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organization, self motivation and capability to work in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to efectively interact with and influence all levels of the organization is a key to success.
  • Employee must possess expert skills in training areas. '
  • Employee must model the company core values and possess a work history demonstrating company policies, procedures and culture.
  • Must be a trusted advisor to the organizational levels with whom he/she interacts.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills will lead to success in this role.
  • This role will often be in a position to present information and be capable of influencing without authority.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

  • Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
  • Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
  • Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
