STATUS: Full-Time, Hybrid (Central Alabama Preferred)
Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of Learning Spaces is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of innovative learning environments across the southeastern United States. This position serves as the second-in-command of Ed Farm Spaces-helping oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring fidelity to Ed Farm's vision for transformative, technology-rich learning environments.
The ideal candidate will bring a balance of educational insight, project management experience, and creative problem-solving to the role. This leader will collaborate with architects, contractors, and school administrators to bring innovative learning spaces to life while mentoring and managing team members and maintaining alignment with Ed Farm's mission.
Expectations
The day-to-day job responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Learning Spaces will fluctuate based on the project calendar. Travel (60%) will be required to oversee site visits, renovations, and partner meetings across the region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head of Learning Spaces to manage the design and execution of multiple projects across K'12, higher education, and community spaces.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and within design specifications.
- Oversee the Learning Spaces Coordinator and collaborate to ensure consistent standards across all Ed Farm spaces.
- Maintain accurate budgets, expense tracking, and reporting for each active project.
- Communicate effectively with school leaders, superintendents, and district stakeholders regarding project timelines and vision.
- Support spatial design planning and provide creative input on furniture, layout, and technology integration.
- Lead professional development sessions and workshops on innovation, space utilization, and technology integration.
- Conduct site visits, generate reports, and ensure quality assurance throughout renovation and installation phases.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, audiovisual tools, and innovative spatial trends relevant to education.
- Model leadership and collaboration across internal departments, contractors, and partner organizations.
Required Skills, Behavior, Or Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in education, project management, or spatial design.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with evidence of team or project oversight.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including comfort interacting with school and district leadership.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and keep complex projects within financial constraints.
- Knowledge of or interest in emerging technologies, audiovisual systems, and modern learning tools.
- Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, and construction professionals.
- Comfort leading professional development for adults and facilitating learning for students.
- High degree of adaptability, creativity, and self-direction.

Evaluations will occur twice yearly. Informal evaluations will also be conducted as needed during 1:1 meetings.
