The Role

We are seeking a driven, articulate
Business Development Manager
to expand Sterling's relationships with RIAs and wealth managers nationwide. The role begins as an internal, phone- and video-based
sales
and marketing position and evolves into a hybrid role that includes attending conferences, webinars and may include travel and onsite visits. Reporting to the CEO, this position offers a unique opportunity to represent Sterling's advanced trust strategies—including Charitable Remainder Trusts, Business Owner Trusts, Stock Diversification Trusts, and other Section 664 solutions—to the nation's leading financial advisors.

What You'll Do


• Discover, develop and manage relationships with RIAs, financial advisors, and wealth managers


• Execute targeted outreach campaigns, follow-up calls, and video meetings


• Qualify opportunities and schedule presentations with Sterling executives


• Educate advisors on how Sterling's trust strategies integrate with client investment and estate plans


• Track pipeline activity and relationship metrics in the CRM system


• Meet or exceed quarterly goals for new advisor relationships and trust business

What We're Looking For


• 2-5 years of experience in financial services, trust administration, or advisor-facing roles


• Proven ability to perform in your current role


• Strong presentation and consultative communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team


• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite


• Proven ability to get things done, practice drive to accomplish, intellectual curiosity, and professionalism consistent with Sterling's reputation. Prior RIA, trust-industry experience, FINRA, securities, or insurance license strongly preferred but not required

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus tied to goal achievement. Comprehensive benefits and a defined path toward hybrid and external wholesaling roles.
