Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Maintain a sterile and organized work environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
  • Utilize dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient information and appointments.
  • Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
