Administrative Assistant (Regular, Full-Time)
Major Gifts
Reporting to the Director of Principal Gifts, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the Principal and Major Gifts team as part of an effort to create a robust pipeline of individual donors and for LACMA's capital campaign. The Administrative Assistant will assist with all activities involving the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects and donors in all gift officer portfolios. This position will also provide support for the planning and implementation of regularly-scheduled global partnerships and campaign events and conversations designed to inform and cultivate key prospects in the numerous initiatives and projects at LACMA..
Responsibilities
- Supports the Director of Principal Gifts and Director of Major Gifts with all activities involving the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects and donors in all gift officer portfolios
- Provides support for the planning and implementation of regularly-scheduled global and campaign events
- Drafts and deploys group and individual communications to members
- Prepares and oversees materials and proposals for donor meetings and the solicitation of gifts
- Assists with prospect identification, list creation, mailings and events for the museum's global partnerships, capital campaign and other core fundraising activities
- Assists with benefits fulfillment for donors, including preparing mailings and event calendaring
- Coordinates tours and special access for high level donors
- Pulls and organizes donor lists and queries from the Tessitura database and internal tracking lists for donor mailings
- Enters and maintains call reports, donor commitments, proposals, and relevant notes in the Tessitura database
- Processes expense reports and invoices for the Director of Principal Gifts and the Director of Major Gifts
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance

- The expected hourly rate for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $22.50, subject to change.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art History or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a development or fundraising environment preferred
- Solid working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel, as well as experience using a constituent management database, such as Tessitura
