Electrician - Journeyman

Full-Time

We have an opening for an experienced and reliable Journeyman Wireman. You will join our team of highly-skilled electricians to install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical systems, including electrical panels, lighting, devices, motor controls, and conveyor systems. We install power supply wiring, fixtures and devices and we troubleshoot commercial and industrial types of electrical components. The ideal candidate has at least five years of professional experience, and a current electrician's license.

Journeyman Wireman Duties and Responsibilities

· Make installations/repairs according to plans and specifications. Respond to commercial and industrial projects, and service calls quickly and within the expected timeframe.

· Understand the customer's needs for repairs or installation and assist with estimates for cost and timeline.

· Follow specifications on blueprints or technical drawings for installations.

· Perform routine maintenance on various systems as required.

· Conduct all repairs and installations following safe work practices and according to code.

· Notify the shop if the plan needs to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances.

Journeyman Wireman Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Current electrician license

· 5+ years of experience as an electrician; experience in both commercial and industrial environments a plus.

· Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications

· Solid working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.

· Valid driver's license.

· Must have your own set of hand tools.

· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

· Able to work independently.

· Excellent customer service skills.
