Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service operations, and a passion for hospitality management. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant functions, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain quality standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Train and develop staff on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Oversee shift management, scheduling, and staffing to meet business needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Assist with kitchen management tasks including food production coordination and culinary supervision when needed.
- Support budgeting efforts by managing costs related to food, labor, and supplies.
- Lead initiatives for training & development to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Collaborate with management on marketing strategies, event planning (such as banquets or catering), and overall restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles, preferably with casual dining or fine dining backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food handling, and kitchen operations.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Ability to train staff on food preparation, service techniques, and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills including inventory control, shift management, and budgeting capabilities.
- Previous experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
