Job Description

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a vibrant retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your routine patrols and visible presence will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will utilize your driving skills in fulfilling your responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences to management and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Monitor access points and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior.
• Assist visitors, vendors, and employees with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Complete required reports and documentation clearly and accurately after incidents or routine patrols.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site staff to help to maintain a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
