Position Overview:

eSimplicity is on the hunt for a dynamic Defense and National Security Capture Director. This pivotal role is designed for a visionary leader adept at navigating the intricacies of business development, capture management, and proposal strategy within Defense and Security focused areas. With a mission to secure new opportunities and deepen existing relationships, the ideal candidate will exhibit a potent mix of strategic insight, technical prowess, and leadership excellence. Your mandate will drive eSimplicity's expansion by harnessing advanced technology and innovative software development practices to enhance American national security and protect our interests significantly.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Business Development Director to identify and cultivate new business opportunities in Defense and Security areas, employing sophisticated account planning, customer mapping, and relationship management strategies to secure and expand our client base.
  • Conduct targeted research and competitive analysis to position eSimplicity advantageously.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, opportunities, and initiatives within the national security sector, leveraging this intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Spearheaded developing and managing strategic partnerships and workshare agreements, aligning with eSimplicity's strategic objectives.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring eSimplicity is positioned as a partner of choice.
  • Manage the capture process from inception to proposal submission. Lead the storytelling solutioning sessions by partnering with technical architects and SMEs to structure our response outlines, identify pain points and desired outcomes, and develop win themes and proof points.
  • Serve as a bridge between proposals, operations, and project teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across different functional areas to align efforts and strategies for winning new work.
  • Work closely with the proposal team to oversee the overall submission of proposals, ensuring they meet all compliance requirements and effectively articulate eSimplicity's value propositions.
  • Bring capture expertise to facilitate technical, management, and pricing solutions with programs and proposal teams. Make recommendations and decisions or seek feedback from executive leadership when needed.
  • Participate in transition planning, advising on the handover of awarded contracts to ensure strategic guidance.
  • Position is an onsite position (2 days a week) and will require travel for team building and training and customer meetings. 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years in strategic capture and business development within the federal sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of operations, key personnel, programs, and the contractor ecosystem in Defense or Security areas of focus, especially with deep domain and technical expertise within a particular DoD service or agency such as the Air Force or Navy or Army, or DHS Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Possessing established customer relationships and a robust network of partners within the Defense or Security ecosystem
  • Demonstrated success in winning competitive bids and managing acquisitions with a focus on enterprise modernization opportunities averaging $50M TCV, encompassing GWACs, agency-specific vehicles, standalone contracts, and task orders.
  • Current or ability to obtain a security clearance, ensuring compliance with federal government requirements for handling sensitive information and working on classified projects.

Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
