Summary
The Federal Business Development Director – Defense and Intelligence will lead growth across the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community. This individual will identify and develop new opportunities, build trusted relationships, and position the company as a strategic mission partner advancing national security and defense priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Defense and Intelligence sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate closely with capture, technical, and delivery teams to shape solutions aligned with mission priorities.
  • Develop and support go-to-market strategies to expand presence and impact across the Defense and Intelligence community.
  • Maintain awareness of agency priorities, procurement trends, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at industry and government forums to strengthen brand visibility and relationships.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business development experience within the Federal Defense or Intelligence markets.
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition and contracting processes.
  • Proven success driving growth and influencing large, complex pursuits.
  • Established relationships and credibility across key Defense and Intelligence organizations.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to operate as a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Operates effectively as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

The annual salary range posted is subject to many factors and may vary depending on experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
