Director Europe Strategy

Anduril is seeking an Director of Europe Strategy to join our Global Defense team, based out of Washington DC. The team is responsible for finding growth opportunities for company technology within the government and commercial markets across the region. As the Europe Strategy Director, you will provide support to Anduril's Global Defense team and business divisions in execution of complex BD projects. 

The right person for this role has government and/or industry experience with EUCOM and its components/units and with partner nation militaries, relishes the challenge of disrupting the status quo and can deliver both technical information and thought leadership. • Support the Global Defense team's business development goals in identifying and driving specific EUCOM strategic campaigns and complex projects, managing relationships with key international organizations and foreign customers.
• Maintain immersive understanding of EUCOM requirements, problems and workflows to inform Anduril product development, deployments and demonstration, and contract execution.
• Support opportunities with foreign partners let by Anduril's regional teams by leveraging an understanding of EUCOM priorities for partners and allies to inform international capture campaigns.
• Lead targeted BD opportunities with foreign partners that require fluency in US security cooperation authorities, process, and players to enable complex deals involving strategic market entry, hybrid (i.e., FMS/DCS) deals, and international armaments cooperation.
• Support the creation and execution of specific strategic engagement strategies to build the company's reputation, enhance the strategic positioning in the industry, and increase the understanding of the company and its business objectives.
• Conduct strategic engagement with think tanks, relevant thought leaders and industry associations on behalf of Anduril and its executive leadership to increase awareness of Anduril, its unique approach to disruptive technology and promote Anduril perspectives on emerging technologies, challenges and major programs.
• Craft business development products, such as industry white papers, proposals, or presentations.
• Capture business development processes, strategy and action items to coordinate team members and other teams within Anduril, such as Corporate Development, Mission Operations, Bids and Proposals, Legal, Finance, and Engineering.
• Based in our DC office, you should be a self-starter with strong communication skills, both verbal and writing, and work well as part of a team. If you are someone who takes initiative and finds innovative solutions to drive forward priorities as part of a dynamic, fast paced team-oriented environment, this job might be for you.
• You will obsessively take meeting notes, summarize findings and action items, and draft memos for internal and external executives. You will track the progress we made on deals every week and summarize into work products catering to different internal audiences.
• You will learn Anduril's business top-to-bottom, and regularly interact with colleagues in hardware and software engineering, supply chain & manufacturing, finance, business development, government relations, etc.

• You are humble and hungry; no task is too small or beneath you, and you will bring a just-get-it-done mindset to work every day.
• You are self-driven and relentlessly proactive. You don't need someone to tell you to "move". You just move. We'd rather have to tell you to slow down than to speed up.
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 7 years' experience in the following fields as provided below
• Experience in US national security/defense arena required, preferably working at or directly with EUCOM and/or its components/units
• Experience working with European militaries or national security experts.
• Relevant experience includes as a civil servant involved with defense or national security matters, as a government official in relevant government department agency, or as an employee of a defense company, think tank, or trade association focused on defense technology, or other similar relevant experience
• Demonstrated success in planning and implementing strategies for strategic external engagement to drive revenue goals
• Experience with defense policy and budget issues and knowledge of the defense and national security sector and key stakeholders with an understanding of how these processes impact the company's growth priorities
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

• Experience with business development and/or thought leadership strongly preferred.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
