Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Administrative Coordinator for the Late Night, Specials & Live Events Legal Affairs team will play a key role in supporting a dynamic group of attorneys within the overall Universal Television Entertainment Group Legal Affairs team. The role will support a fast-paced legal team by providing administrative support, managing a high volume of contracts and legal resources, and staying highly organized and communicative.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage heavy and complex schedules, coordinating calls and meetings with internal and external parties utilizing multiple calendars over multiple time zones; provide phone coverage; keep attorneys on schedule; demonstrate flexibility, patience and persistence in routinely rescheduling calls and meetings
  • Draft, edit and distribute a high volume of contracts and other legal documents, with attorney guidance
  • Coordinate audio/visual needs for meetings and presentations; help prepare materials; attend and take notes as requested by attorneys
  • Accurately process and track legal work, which includes assuming primary responsibility for managing and updating various databases, knowledge management systems, legal forms, and status/tracking reports for both the Late Night, Specials & Live Events Legal Affairs team, as well as the larger Universal Television Entertainment Group Legal Affairs team
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism along with a positive attitude
  • Arrange travel and accommodations including comprehensive and detailed itineraries
  • Prepare and process expense reports, reimbursements and reconciliations in accordance with Company policy guidelines; process outside counsel and other legal-related invoices
  • Handle general office and administrative tasks, including the ordering of miscellaneous supplies
  • Manage administrative and coordination aspects of special projects as designated including planning and organizing internal events and creating itineraries/materials for attendees
  • Provide backup for other assistants on the team

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Adobe and database management
  • College degree and comparable work experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Interest in the media industry or legal field, particularly the late night, comedy, and live event spaces
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with an emphasis on an ability to multitask and prioritize work for multiple attorneys simultaneously
  • Previous administrative support experience
  • Previous knowledge and experience working with document management systems including iManage, SharePoint and Salesforce
  • Flexible and proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and assume greater responsibility as needed
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and implement solutions independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
