Research Computing Student Assistant

The primary purpose of this position will be to support Research Computing Staff and customers of Research Computing.  The duties of this position will be a blend of administrative tasks as well as technical support tasks.  The individual in this position will provide training compliance monitoring to ensure customers with access to Research Computing systems have completed yearly training necessary to maintain active accounts.  The individual in this position will provide on-boarding functions for REDCap research database, develop surveys in REDCap, some REDCap training and troubleshooting duties through high-performance computing code and programs, other documentation updates, as well as attendance in meetings.

• Schedule: M-F , 8am-5pm
• Hourly Wage: $15

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Must be a current USF student during the appointed semester and meet the requirements of USF.  
• Must be familiar with database technologies and data collection techniques.  
• Must be detail oriented, with the ability to multitask a variety of differing duties. 
• Average skills with MS Word, MS Excel, and database queries.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Interest in hard and soft sciences, ability to understand, use, and train in web-based tools.  
• Understanding and appreciation of security and security standards.
