Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Advanced Visualization Center (AVC), part of USF IT, is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic 3D Print Lab team, which oversees the AVC 3D Print Lab. The ideal candidate is self-driven, observant, and enthusiastic about technology, with excellent communication and customer service skills. While no specific academic background is required, a familiarity with 3D printing, CAD, industry trends, microcontrollers, and electronics is highly desirable.

• Hourly Wage: $15.00
• Schedule: Flexible, with most hours between 9AM - 4PM
• Hours per week: 15

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Process, document, and manage 3D print requests, maintaining an organized file system.
• Provide clear, professional communication with clients, ensuring that their requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the auditorium, including removing trash and clutter.
• Assist presenters in utilizing the Visualization Wall and provide clear instructions on its operation.
• Communicate AVC policies and procedures to professors, lecturers, and event coordinators, ensuring smooth operations during events.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current USF student during the appointed semester and meet the requirements of USF.
• Must be familiar with database technologies and data collection techniques.
• Must be detail oriented, with the ability to multitask a variety of differing duties.
• Average skills with MS Word, MS Excel, and database queries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 3D printing technology
• Familiarity with 3D printer slicing software (e.g., Bambu Studio, Simplify 3D, Cura)
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, Inventor, SolidWorks, Blender, Maya)
