Armacost Lighting, a rapidly growing manufacturer of LED lighting products based in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.

Armacost is built on bringing innovative lighting products to consumers through multiple distribution channels. Our customers include OEM partners, distributors and retailers that range in size from DIY homeowners to the largest home improvement retailers in the world.

This position will be responsible for various duties and responsibilities that will require them to work across different departments and take on several tasks within the accounting and finance niche. Opportunity Snapshot

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Baltimore, MD

Required Experience: 4 - 5 years of experience in an Accounting role

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Benefits include: Medical/Dental/Vision plan, 401K with company match, paid time off and HSA

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field is preferred. Equivalent

experience considered without degree.


• years of work experience in an accounting role, preferably in a small business environment


• Strong computer skills, including expertise in MS Outlook and Excel. Working knowledge of

Quickbooks is preferred.


• High level of attention-to-detail and organization, with a commitment to data integrity


• Demonstrated time management, mathematical, written and oral communication skills

Essential Functions of the Role:

· Performing accounting tasks such as recording customer payments, following up on past due

invoices and disputing non-payment of invoices

· Creating staff payrolls and approving client or supplier payments

· Investigating accounting irregularities, mistakes or potential fraud

· Producing regular financial reports including budgets and cash flow forecasts

· Offering advice and suggestions to management that can improve the accounting processes and

financial stability of a company

· Reconciling balance sheet accounts

· Ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards

Work Environment

Office and warehouse settings with exposure to varying sound and temperature levels as well as exposure to dust.
