The Real Estate Assessor's Office is looking to hire a Real Estate Technician  to perform clerical duties to assist in the maintenance of the City's real estate title and tax records.

**This position is open until filled. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Once the appropriate applicant pool has been established, it will be closed.**

Duties will include, but not limited to: 

  • Read, interpret and record data from deeds, wills, list of heirs and death certificates to update and/or correct real estate parcel records.
  • Read and interpret subdivision plats and land descriptions in real estate documents.
  • Research land and title to obtain correct information for updating files.
  • Answer inquiries from surveyors, real estate agents, lawyers, other City departments, mortgage companies and the public.
  • Assist in clerical and receptionist duties for the department including responding to customer inquiries, mass mailings, deed and plat processing and support of assessment staff.
  • Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less.  Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs.
