Position Overview
The Corporate Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in generating corporate room revenue by cultivating strong relationships with business travel accounts, local companies, and key decision-makers. This position is centered on uncovering new business opportunities, negotiating competitive rates and contracts, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction to surpass the hotel's revenue targets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic sales initiatives to attract and retain corporate clientele.
- Actively pursue and secure new corporate accounts through outbound sales efforts, networking, and professional presentations.
- Foster long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Negotiate and oversee local corporate rate agreements to maximize profitability.
- Partner with the revenue management team to align pricing and inventory strategies.
- Host property tours and represent the hotel at industry events to enhance client engagement.
- Monitor and document sales activities, leads, and performance metrics using Delfi/Salesforce.
- Generate monthly reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for key accounts.
- Collaborate with operations, front office, and reservations teams to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Engage in local business and community organizations to elevate the hotel's market presence.
- Stay informed on competitor activity, market dynamics, and travel industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
- 2–4 years of hotel sales experience, ideally within the corporate or business travel sector.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel CRM/sales platforms.
