Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with 1–3 years of experience looking to grow their career in accounting within a dynamic and supportive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and post journal entries accurately, applying accrual accounting principles and ensuring proper account classification.

· Maintain organized and accurate financial records to support audits and compliance with GAAP.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.

· Support inventory accounting by tracking transactions and assisting with valuation of materials and finished goods.

· Monitor basic cost components such as material, labor, and overhead to support cost tracking and reporting.

· Assist in maintaining standard costing and performing variance analysis under supervision.

· Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing accruals and financial reports.

· Generate routine financial statements and management reports with guidance from accounting manager.

· Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues and ensure smooth financial operations.

· Contribute to process improvements and support special projects such as budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.

Qualifications

· Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

· Minimum of 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial reporting.

· Demonstrated hands-on experience with accrual accounting, including revenue recognition, expense matching, and period-end adjustments.

· Solid understanding of accounting principles; working knowledge of GAAP is strongly preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software is a strong plus.

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with ERP systems or inventory accounting is a plus.

· Pay range: $50,000 to $60,000, depending on experience
