We are looking for a Manufacturing Support Specialist - Pattern Designer to support our manufacturing team at our main plant in Mason, OH.

SUMMARY:

Provide support to our manufacturing team by aiding in the organization of custom-made-to-order production line, utilizing CAD software to create the cut files used by our CNC fabric and hot-wire foam cutters and their operators, and help manage interplant transfers of work-in-progress.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and work within the dynamics of our delivery schedule and the resulting production plan.
  • Carefully review orders for correctness, working with our customer support team to address resulting questions.
  • Work with our customer support team to answer pre-sales questions about our production capabilities.
  • Create cut files in CAD software for use in our CNC fabric and hot-wire foam cutting solutions.
  • Work to ensure that our interplant transfers arrive in time to be finished by our Mason final assembly team before it is scheduled to be shipped.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic arithmetic operations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience using computer assisted drafting system (CAD) equipment and software.
  • Conversational Spanish language skills
